I got this Cannon 24mm prime lens for my husband for his birthday last September and we finally had a chance to take it for a spin a couple months ago. Needless to say it’s my new favorite lens. It’s light without feeling cheap and it has a smooth manual focus ring which can be used to override the autofocus. I am a bit of a button masher when it comes to snapping action shots and the only thing that limited the speed was my slightly old memory card. I’ll get a new one eventually but Magic Lantern was already on this one ;-). Even with all my focus fumbling and button mashing I was pleasantly surprised at how sharp the photos turned out. I mean they were SHARP. All in all a lovely edition to our ever growing glass collection.
I have been back on the yoga train for about a month now and needless to say the unicorns in my digital sketchbook have become quite the yogis as well 🦄⭐️💕 I’d like to make enough of them to create a t-shirt design for my shop. Follow me on instagram to get notifications on when I’ll be drawing live!
I’ve been in LA for a year and a half and have been absolutely dying to find a place to do life drawing sessions! A friend told me that Glenn Vilppu was doing a life drawing/iPad/Procreate/demo situation at Center Stage Gallery, so I basically blew off adulting (groceries, laundry, etc) to go be artsy fartsy for a few hours. Now I will admit to being a bit (ok fine, a lot) rusty in regards to figure drawing but I had a ton of fun. The model was so glam and watching Glenn draw and explain his process was beyond awesome. 🙂
